| North Slope YB Freighters have been used in Northern and Western Alaska for several years, and are steadily becoming the sled of choice for times when serious loads need to be freighted. A variety of custom options are available. |
Features of the North Slope YB Freighter:
* Simple, dependable design
*Tough, flexible 3/8 inch ultraviolet-resistant UHMW
polyethylene with added UV stabilizers.
* Side ropes for lashing down gear.
* 36" triangular tongue can be set up for either a flapper
or pintle hitch. Spring-loaded hitches are available for an
additional charge.
*Unaffected by temperatures colder than 60 below F.
*Sleds have a single 30" piece of galvanized steel angle
iron mounted in the middle of the bottom which keeps
them tracking straight on both ice and steep side hills.
Double skegs or runners are also available.
